I'm toying with the idea of building a replacement on a Linux stack - similar GUI (but web-based), same concepts so it's easy to transition. It only gives you incoming HTTP/HTTPS with SSO and DirectAccess over IPv4 (which is in Server 2012 anyway). UAG is not going to replace TMG completely, at least not in the current iteration. I've got budget for a new solution so any idea is up at the moment. We've got room to put in standalone servers / appliances if necessary. The rest of the environment is VMWare ESXi 5.1, mostly Wintel, HP Gen8 blades and 3Par SANs. I've stopped the maintenance contract on it but am open to the idea of getting it going again if you think it's a good solution. It was a wasted opportunity to kill off the ISA server then. ![]() ![]() The current setup delivers your usual stuff - OWA, ActiveSync, Terminal Server and only a few extranets.Ī couple of years ago (before my time), someone bought an SA series Juniper box, failed to figure it out and promptly left it in a corner. Without giving too much information away for security reasons, I'm running an outer permiter firewall, DMZ and ISA Server 2006 inside. Before consulting the account managers and sales teams of the various vendors, I thought I would call upon the knowledge and wisdom of the crew in this forum.
